Rationale

Each piece contains the trace of a creative encounter with a people, an architecture, an art form. An object that is an invitation to travel to the other and elsewhere. The foreign becomes familiar and the jewel like a second skin when worn close to the heart, in the hollow of the ear or on the fingertips. A jewel box of stories and memories to be passed on between generations.
